Was in the wood last night with a few fellows....one of them gave me a hard time about gearin' up with my old Colt Gov mod 1911 ....when I put the snake load in the chamber he understood and looked down at his thin pants and hiking shoes and walked directly behind me all night.

Later on we heard some coyotes in the distance (350-400yds away) and someone else told this fellow the story about the night the pack of yotes ran right thru on us and me and another fellow opened up on them with a Glock 40 and a Sig Sauer 9mm and each bumped one off. It did tramatize a few a the hound dogs.

I enjoy carryin' a toy or 2 out with me from time to time....its why I had to have them.

There's an old saying, smart men make smart decisions, and don't regret them! I carry if I'm just going to the post office. Too much criminal element and drugs now days to take a chance. Don't get me wrong, I would not want to hurt anyone but, in that same breath though, I don't want anyone to make me hurt them either. Chance favors the prepared or as my old drill instructor used to say, it's better to talk to 12 than to be carried by 6.

I do love my .44 mag ruger vaquero, and my .45 colt 1911, but for carrying purposes i really like the glock 23 in .40
As far as 10mm goes its mainly a competition cartridge, It was big bout 5-7 yrs back folks even used em for hunting, but i dont hear much bout em anymore
