Not a bad choice But that isn't what I was looking for, This was a wild cat cartrige and The 30-06 was the rifle that actually stoped it from becoming a production Rifle.

He said he's not old enough he only knows back to the 50's and he's calling you dirty names

Nope, think about when the military flooded the market with the 30-06 spring field. This is just trivia.

I haven't the slightest idea, but Springfield's first rifles for Uncle Sam were the 1903A1, which came out in 1903 and was a .30-06 caliber, so the .30-06 was never actually introduced in 1906. See Sarge you just asked the wrong question for me.

OK you got me there. I have no idea. Then again, I have no idea why anyone would try to neck down a .400 H&H to .30.
