Not a bad choice But that isn't what I was looking for, This was a wild cat cartrige and The 30-06 was the rifle that actually stoped it from becoming a production Rifle.
I haven't the slightest idea, but Springfield's first rifles for Uncle Sam were the 1903A1, which came out in 1903 and was a .30-06 caliber, so the .30-06 was never actually introduced in 1906. See Sarge you just asked the wrong question for me.
