22 250 is probly the flatest shooting gun but the wind could have a small factor but I definatly think the 22 250 is the best

22-250 is a good gun but I use a 223 with 45gr bullets. But out here in eastern mt its all pretty open. I Won a 223 wssm and now thats all i use with 55gr. Its a little faster and will reach out there a bit further.

I carry a H&R 223 and an old 12 ga. Kinda thick where i hunt to. if i see him at long range i have the 223. If he is licking my toes before i see him i have the scatter gun.

i have a 22-250 and love it . it dose a great allround job shoots really fast and flat . i had a 223 and i personally hate the round for huntin . i also think 243 will tear the hide up to bad if u are gonna put them up.

you may want to consider an over/under. you can get them in many different configurations. Coyote hunting is always unpredictable but with the ranges you are going to be shooting a 223 on top of a 12 guage is pretty hard to beat. put a scope with a wide fov and you should be all set.
