Plottchaser. They make cb's in short and long. I use the longs. They seem to have more punch than the shorts and aren't any louder.

I shoot cb longs in a Rossi Youth. I have used the longs and shorts. It may just be my gun, but the longs are much much quieter than the shorts. The powder in the short is compressed and has a velocity of 1105 fps. The long is non-compressed and has a velocity of 710 fps. The long is listed as subsonic. The thump is louder than the shot.

if your shorts are at 1105 then they aren't subsonics so they will be louder. cb shorts and cb longs are so similar. i use the longs because i have huge hands and i cant hold them little ones real good

I use cb shorts. It gets the job done with less noise.

i use longs. we tried some remington cbee long rifle hollow points. slightly louder but packed punch. every other 1 would mis-fire though.

I'd rather just use long rifle hollow points, I think one shot is a lot less noticeable than lobbing 10 cb shorts at one coon.

most guns wont cycle shorts so its just easier to use longs.
