New England Firearms makes a real nice single shot with synthetic stock and bull barrel for around 100 bucks.

cheap and 17 HMR are two words that dont go together!

shells are $10 for 50!

ive got a Savage Model 93R17 from wally world for $150, i think thier now $160 though... its a good rifle, and if you go to someplace that has a good selection of guns you can probably get one with either blued stanless barrels wood, laminated, or synthetic stocks, standard or bull barrels too, any combos too!
