I have a chipmunk. I just put me a little scope on it. Works great for coon hunting. Best coon gun there is if ya ask me. Light and easy to get threw the thick places in a wood.

Friend had a chipmunk and it never shot straight after the first 1/2 dozen shells. I recently bought a Cricket and put a Simmons on it. Planning on a red laser too.

My fat fingers make it hard to reload but most times 1 is all it takes.

I drilled out the key on mine, no problems. I passed my cricket on cause it was so slow to load, especially with cold hands. Right now I am using a Mossberg Plinkster. I use cb longs and cycle them manually.

might just need a good cleaning and oiling.
take a wire brush and scrub the bolt and receiver and see if it gets better....

Mine works dine except it is hard to load with my fat fingers. I believe it is built better than the chipmunk. My friend had a chipmunk and it never shot straight after the first dozen shells.

I mounted a red laser and spot from the NITELIGHT catalog on top of a 9x32 Simons. That setup is great.

I like the Henry Mini-bolt more than a crikett or chipmunk. It has stainless reciever which Keystone sporting arms refuses to produce for the crikett. The bolt handle is much more elegant and stouter. The stock on the henry blows the crikett out of the water. It actually has a functional comb and forearm. Just a better gun in general construction.

I have used both and this year I am using the Rossi Youth 22. It is a single shot break down. I have a Red Dot Scope on it and there is no comparison for ease of use with either cold or big fingers, accuracy, and quality.

Brandon, on the Henry, can you just drop the shell in the (cant figure out how to put this best...) open area behind the chamber, in the reciever where on a repeating 22, the next shell is located.

like on a centerfire where you can just drop one on top of the magizine and slose the bolt.
can you do that with any of them???

Yes that is how you load them. You can call that a loading port or breach from now on and your friends will think you no more than them about guns.LOL.

i had a brain fart!
actually im the one thats the gun nut around here. i can take em apat, adn put em back together (and actually 3/4 of the time, THEY STILL WORK! j/k i have yet to have one NOT work after me taking it apart, though ive came close...

i just need a GOOD set of screwdrivers and a good gun vise to hold them with....

thats the only thing about the single shot 22's that i dont like. you have to actuallly put the shell into the chamber.
