can you shoot shorts in a 22 revolver? after reading all the posts about the best pistol for coon hunting, i've decided i want a DA 22 revolver with the 22 mag. cylinder. which one do you suggest?

S&W makes a nice one, so does Taurus. Come to think of it, I think only those two and NAA are the only ones left that make a .22 revolver. Most folks go with a regular auto-loader for a .22 now.

you should be able to run shorts through a revolver. the manual is the only real source of info for that, though.

heritage manufacturing makes a 22 single action with a 6 1/2" barrell and a 22 magnum cylender for less than $200.00. i found them on auctionarms and then found them online. check them out. they look good to me.

Didn't you want a double action?

If Single action is OK, I love the Rugers. They are virtually indestructible. I just took a look at the heritage on Auction arms. From the photo it looks pretty nice. Obviously, a photo doesn't tell the whole story, but for a buy it now for $175, that ain't bad.

Try gunbroker.com, too. I do most of my selling there.

the heritage is only good for within 10 yards other than that its very inacurate and the cyliner chips off if you dry fire too much

i went to a gun store today and checked out the Heritage Mfg. 22 pistols. to me, they look pretty good. the owner told me that they sell quit of few of them and havne't had any complaints. just looking at it and handling it, i think it's a good deal for $200.00 and that includes a 22 mag. cylinder.
i think i want a used ruger. something with a little bit of class. i'm tired of getting the cheapest of evrything. i think you shoot better if you believe in what you're shooting.
