Definetly Remington. I have a model 700 in 243 that shoots ausome! Theyre reliable, tough, and accurate. My dad has a Model 700 in 7mm mag and it also is a sweet gun/caliber.

I voted Rem, because Cooper wasn't there.Very well made super accurate ,Had a single shot Kimber of Oregon good shooter ,Didnt like the single shot. Wiley

controlled fed model 70, far superior to any 700 action. however the whole line of winchesters made in america went to pot in their later years and eventually closed but they've opend a production factory in south carolina and are going to make only mid-to-high end rifles.

i dont care if is remington ruger marlin but any gun i shoot is USA made. period. quality and worksmanship speeks for itself. period. check out the ones winchester made when they went foriegn.

better watch out for those remingtons they have several models that are made over seas now. same as with browning some of their guns are jap made. i can handle a belgum made winchester or browning but i don't know about buying a american name made gun with foreign craftmanship.
