i just read the book, Infidel. the writer discribes how she and a male family member went back into somalia to recue some members of his family. after bribing the border officer and entering somalia, they had to search the refugee camp/settlement on the border in somalia. the camp was vast and the heat and sun was unbareable. the only selter most had was rags spread out on bushes. some families found selter under the few trees. those families had a gun. imagine fighting over shade and it being a matter of life and death. a gun would be worth more than its wight in gold. i've got mine!

makes you realize that we take alot for granted
there are ppl in this world living like that and i get pissed off when i cant find the t.v. remote
