What does anyone think about the cost on reloading components? I know alot of guys around here who are scrambling trying to stock up on powder, brass, primers, bullets, etc., for reasons ranging from even higher anticipated prices, to worry from our next Democratic president.
With the war going on and with China and others becoming highly industrialized, I don't see the prices on steel and other metals coming down anytime soon. Of course, all the scrap metal and old farm equipment strewn down the hill we have collected over the years sure looks like gold with scrap prices the way they are!

For most centerfire rifle and large caliber handguns reloading is alot cheaper and you can get far more precision and consistency in your loads. depends on what you have. I have a 45 ACP and I don't bother reloading since the ammo is plentiful and pretty cheap mostly. I also have a .338 Win Mag and a .480 Ruger and I reload both since buying the ammo costs a ton, plus I can get far more options in terms of slug and powder combinations than I ever could buying off the shelf ammo.

metal prices, like all commodities is a wold wide market game and almsot anything can make it rise and fall. I say worry about a democratic President when the times comes (And work like hell to elect an Republican/Conservative), pay attention to the metals market, but don't rule your life by it or it will drive you crazy.
