I use a Ruger 22-45 with a laser and like it real well. Sometimes it takes 1 shot sometimes it takes a magazine(10 shots) I do wish it was a little quieter like a riffle, but it fits in my hunting vest just fine and I do not have to pack a rifle. As my eyes age I am using a scope on my other guns more and more though.

ive killed just as many coons with my remington 581 bolt action .22. its got a pretty long barrel for a .22 so its not loud at all and that also makes it veerryy accurate with or without a scope.( a scope makes it way nicer to shoot a coon though)

i bought a ruger .22 revolver just for coon hunting, it was extremely small and thats why i liked it but you couldnt hit a can at 10 yards with that thing. i took it hunting one night and after 25 shots at one coon i sold it that very night. i took that money and bought my .22 rifle and aint missed one since.

Man I tell u I was skeptical at first but I was looking for a single shot .22 something light and short that I didn't care much about if it got messed up. I've heard many mixed emotions on the .22 crickett but guys I broke down an bought one roped it with a cheap 3x9 tasco scope and that little dude will hold tight enough to knock the necks off of pony bottles at 60yrds. This gun is amazing like I said super light an small throw it on ur back an forget its there an the best part of all its a very safe gun for beating around in the swamps an briars we have here in virginia

I take my Marlin 39M Golden. Pap gave it to me 10 years ago. He had it forever before that. I could go on for days about that gun. Dang accurate I tell ya.
