any thoughts on shooting buck shot through a rifled slug barrel?
maybe next week we can try shooting Buckshot out of a cannon....lol

If it is loaded up with a plastic sleeve like a load of birdshot it should be fine. Otherwise you will have a lot of lead in the grooves I would imagine. Cut into the crimp end of one shell and see how they are loaded if you aren't sure. If they are in a plastic cup then you would want to test fire it at a 4x4 board and see what the pattern looks like at 20 or 30 yards and decide if it looks right to you. I don't know how shooting buckshot through a rifled barrel compares to a smoothbore. Never tried it. If you do please post on here so we hear what it looks like for pattern. If you have to vent rib barrel put your improved cylinder choke on it to compare patterns. I think most would just choose to shoot it that way versus through a rifled barrel.
