.25 caliber bullet on a .30-06 case pretty good round the few that ive shot felt like it kicked harder than a .270 or a 30-06 of the same size and weight

They are an excellent caliber, I seen dad growing up, shoot crows at a quarter mile. They have also been used as a sniper caliber, i dont think you can go wrong

they are a great caliber and have great ballistics but they are a little harder to find shells for. my buddy has one and he ended up just having his special made.

25/06 is between a 243. and a 270. closer to a 270. they have plenty of power and are very flat shooting guns

I live in montana and use a 25-06 alot. It is a great all around rifle, great for bear, deer, antelope, even layed a few elk to rest with it. One draw back is it is NOT very good in dense brush.

I hear they work great on deer, But I can't tell ya we cant hunt "big game" in Ohio with rifles. We can hunt varmints with them It doesn't make sense... I had a 25-06 Ruger SVT it was my over 300 yrd "varmint gun" I used it for long shots on windy days it bucks the wind better than a 22-250 or .220 swift. Now if its over 300 I just try to get closer. I don't get many long shots here anyway so I sold it with a bunch of others to put a down payment on my house. The ammo isn't cheap and can be hard to find here as is a lot of rife ammo sept' the real common ones.

basically a 25 -06 the only difference really is the 06 has been necked down to a 25 caliber bullet the ballistics on it are quite good from reading them . its another great wild cat cartridge

Several Great rounds were made using the 30-06 that has to say something for the old 06, it was the round of choice for a lot of years before people decided that it took a Big Magnum or Cannon to kill big game ! LOL The 25-06 is truly a Good flat shooting round !!!
