Up here in Jersey, there's not much coon hunting going on (at least none that i can find). So it's walks, games of hide and seek, and chasing rabbits and squirrels around the yard. He are some pictures of my first year and a half with Mia, the crowned Queen of New Jersey...

I'm a bluedog man and I'd like to know y the bluetick has been breed down in size so much for and they r statin to look less and less hounds

are they down in size? my female is just a year and 4 months old and she's 65 pounds on the nose. i thought that was what the females are supposed to run. i did see somewhere that a guy has a male at 120lbs though now that you mention it. i just thought he was a one-off.
that being said, mine looks 100% hound to me.

There is a difference between blueticks and gascons.

The UKC registered Bluetick male has to be less than 87 lbs I think. And the females could be as small as somewhere around 45 lbs. (I'm not sure of the exact weights.)

But there is a minimum and maximum weight.

A 120 lb blue tick male would be rejected from a bench show for violating breed standards.

Mine is short legged. My little girl is 3 to give u an idea. But shes a huntin machine at 10yrs old.
