Briefly, Mandatory Spay Neuter bill in Tennessee's House and Senate. These are cleverly disguised as the Commercial Breeders Bill. Supposedly, aimed at the puppy mills to get them to "clean up their acts" underlying objectives are aimed at the small time, average person who hunts, tracks, night hunts, shows, has packs, etc...

Animal rights and PETA are all over East Tennessee trespassing on the private properties of many private citizens who own packs of hounds. If they can't trespass, they are turning up on properties and demanding to see the dogs and animals that belong to the owners.

PETA and HSUS are not the benevolent or saintly organizations that they portray themselves to be. Remember, these organizations want no form of animal ownership or enjoyment. With spay neuter laws being forced down our throats, eventually the outcome is extinction.

Get on the Tennessee Legislative Site, Tennessee General Assembly sites and look up the Commercial Breeders Bill and the Groomers Bill. They are real legislative "masterpieces" that will put all of us out of commission in no time flat.

The bills are going to be read on April 15th. I realize that time is tight but email your representatives and senators. Tell them or ask them to vote NO to the Commercial Breeders Bill and the Groomers Bill. Letters will not make it to the appropriate people quickly enough. Emails can be sent and received in nanoseconds. Pester the daylights out of your elected officials. If you don't have a computer, find someone who does. The time to act is now. We can't wait and think someone else is going to do this for us. It's up to us...

good ideas for letters and quick emails are on the NAIA site, the Sporting Dog Alliance, SOAVA, and the American Kennel Club as well as the UKC site.

Thanks for your help !!!

OK Tennessee folks...here are the bill numbers and they can easily be located

HB0386 * most urgent, to be read on 4-15
SB0258 *

HB0391: known as the Groomer's Bill, talks about pet/animal groomers but disguised to include ANYONE who has 4 or more dogs on their property. So we are all groomers now? High cost of business license here...

HB0626: Forfeiture of animals if not claimed within 72 hours. No exceptions-once forfeited, they are gone forever

SB0410 and HB0544: these two are the most recent and have just surfaced within the past day or two

The info is here. email, email, email or fax, fax, fax...conventional mail isn't going to get to your elected officials fast enough

Time is running out.

"MY DOGS, MY CHOICE ! SAY NO TO MANDATORY SPAY NEUTER !"
