On the biggamehoundsman site there are some great arguments for the hunting of lions with dogs. If your not to busy one of these nights we can get together and run the dogs and come up with a way to articulate the ideas in an educated way, so that people of the area know the truth about using hounds.

wow, i've never owned a "trophy" dog, but when i do, that son of a gun sure won't be denied proper veterinary care on my watch! lol

Andy (aka riflecarrier) and I wrote a letter on Tuesday and handed it to one of the editors of the Press and Dakotan. I'm not sure if they will actually put it in their paper because it is run by such a pack of liberals, but I think it turned out pretty good. So far this year 13 of lions harvested were younger than breeding age and it is entirely because it is hard to get close to a cat just using calls and stalking them. If a guy could use hounds, they would know exactly what they are when the trigger is pulled. I would be willing to bet that about 1 out of every 100 cats treed is actually harvested across the United States.

This just goes to show how ignorant some people are!! Sounds like this person should do a little research and learning about somthing before she starts blabbing her mouth. If she only knew that our hounds are treated just asas good or better than most other domestic dogs and that they would hate not chasin somethin!! It would be a crime not to let hounds chase cats or coons or whatever we decide to train them to do! that's what their bred for and love!!

Be careful what you hope for...the liberal rag out here published my last letter...editing it so it sounded in favor of the darned HB! Ticked me off.
