We are in the process of kicking off our statewide “Don’t Shoot My Dog Campaign” patterned after a similar successful crusade developed by the Michigan Hunting Dog Federation several years ago. The goal is education; to instruct the public about the legal and financial consequences of shooting a hunting dog and to communicate the proper procedure to you the hunter if your hunting dog is shot. I’m sure you would agree this is a worthy endeavor in today’s climate of frequent dog shootings. Check out more details of this campaign here: http://www.hoosiertreedogs.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=71
If you would like to join in and help out with this venture, please contact the HTDA “Don’t Shoot My Dog” campaign Chairman Joe Newlin at joe@oakridgecoonhounds.com
