Post subject:  attention: Indiana DNR wanting to destroy small game hunting

As most of you know DNR's Division of Fish and Wildlife small game biologists are looking to restrict small game hunters on state land to hunting hours of 9 am to 4 pm. No matter what their reasoning, taking the small game hunter out of the field is not something we can allow them to do. They attempt to say its due to over crowding on the state properties, but at the FWCC meeting at Atterbury Saturday it was revealed that one of the boiologists thinks he can bring the Bob White Quail back by keeping us off the land during the morning and evening hours. Even the Quail Unlimited Representative in attendance says its not right.

Also after giving us February for Rabbit season both state and public land last year to get us to not strongly oppose closing the October Rabbit season on state land, this year they are aggressively going to attempt to take February back.

I was very blunt in telling them what the sportsmen and women thought of their actions and when Mark Reiter attempted to say they go from research, I ask him if there was no research last year and the year before and the years before that when they were making these choices.

We must act fast and furious. We only have til the end of the month to get comments in to DNR and the governor. Below are the email addys to use; you must physical type in the email address to send. the links below dont automatically work. This is the place to comment to DNR on opposing the changes to
