My 10 month old has treed her own coon, not many but has treed. I think most were hot tracks because the chase was short. Now the last two times out she acts like she's on a track goes out to about 200 yards then comes back. But she will keep working the area where she started for at least 5 minutes when she comes back. She has only opened on two of the last tracks she has treed. I don't think she's running deer. Like I said she gets so far and just quits and comes back. One night was misty damp out and the other was kind of dry but was snow and rain in the morning.

What could be happening? She has never ran with another dog (I don't have access to one). She did do this two other times a month or so ago and at the end of one I went in to her last spot on the garmin and there was a coon in the tree(this one was 400 yards).

Well she's 14 months now. And trees very well. But she did lose 2 different tracks. Not sure what happened. One was in the woods and other was in the corn. The one in the corn never left the corn but she lost it.
