i told my pup NO with a stern voice and if he didn't stop i'd give him a lil swat with my hat and he'd get down. with a couple of times of doing this he stopped but i still have to remind him sometimes. the pup is young and will gain confidence with walks through the woods in the day time and then he will eventually wonder off by himself.

When the dog jumps on your leg just very easily step on one of it's back feet.I don't mean stomp on it or try to run it in the ground do it enough to where you don't hurt it but enough to let it know to get down.

Stepping on the feet works, but so does kneeing them in the chest. I do a little of both, depending on the dog. I try not to hit them on the head because it can get them head shy.

I always grab them by the front chest and set them down and say no, then if they do it again, i say it a little firmer, then the 3rd time i pop them and they usually do it one or 2 more times as a pup, but after that they dont do it no more...it has always worked.
Hay, ive NEVER heard of that paw thing, how long does it usually take? and do you'll no what makes them quit? *just curious, wanting to learn*

I've always pushed them back with a soft knee to the chest and say "don't jump." After a few times of that, you can just say "don't jump" when they come toward you or you're standing beside somebody's brand new, shiny truck.

Stepping on the back foot works on pups and grown dogs. Only takes a few times. Good luck.

Every time he jumps up, bring your knee up so it meets with the centre of his chest. After he gets himself winded a couple times by bouncing himself off your knee, he should figure it out.

i swatted mine when he did it not hard but a firm one an it worked the first time but the next few times when id reach twards him to put him or put him on his lead he would flinch reall bad so id go with step on foot or kneeing them an be kinda gentle the first couple times and if they still dont get it then give him a good one and he shouldnt do it again
