How can a dog tell the difference between a den tree and havin a coon on the outside?? A coon in a hole on the ground yes, but I'm not disputing that, you stated that your dogs know not to stop at a den and find a coon on the outside. How does the dog know if that coon found a hole in the tree or not?? It can't!! Now I'm not talkin about workin a back track to a den, which a dog should be smart enough to turn it around. I mean a track that legitimately ends at a tree with a hole in it. You don't know what's in that hole either and I don't believe for a second that your dogs wont tree on that tree IF a coon went up it. Like I said if they only tree on trees with coon on the outside, I want one and I wanna know why you haven't won multiple World Championships?

Maybe I missed something but I'm pretty sure wvcoonrunner Is talking about a "den tree." Not a hole in the ground.

This is what was said and this is what I was disputing. As I clearly stated here.

I'm not trying to keep this going, just showing what parts of the posts were being questioned. I will not post further on this topic and I kindly ask that if you have something you want to discuss about it you do so with me in a PM. Thank you and happy hunting.
