When I have my dog on the bench he keeps his head up pretty good with out any help from me, but when he does want to move his head i give a little shock on low and move his head back to were I want it, is this okay if I continue to do this or should i just move his head back without the aid of a shock
Any advice

We just pull the dogs ear to pull the head back.Or take your hand and wave it on the side you want moved. The hand wave works really good after they get trained. Many top handlers use shockers in bench training..They work fine but are really not needed...I watched one guy work a dog for over a hour. On the bench with the collar on.To me that was really to long.To work a dog on the bench.10 min is more than enough...Then take a break....2-3 times a day in no time you can break most dogs..Within a few weeks..Winning is another thing....A good handler can beat a better looking dog more times than not....Unless oneof the other handlers is a good looking women..Then your in trouble...LOL...We got beat a few weeks ago by a 18 yr old and her dog was leaning on her...Actually touching her the dog was leaning so bad...Our dog never moved a hair....I knew we were in trouble when I found out who the judge was.......LOL...

I have now made 4 bench CH and one GRCH, but still have yet to master the dogs holding there heads up alone. They will stand on the bench and not move a muscle .. But they will look around with there heads and won't stay in that nice straight position.

Are there any tips to get this done?
