alright when i first got my black and tan he was turning to be pretty good he was treeing by hiself and everything and then i took him out one night and ther was a deer in front of us and he ran it but i didnt have a shock coller at the time and i got one the other day and i was hunting and he bayed one and i shocked him forever on 10 and he wouldnt bark at it and then last night i took him out and i think he ran one again cause he was running almost out of hearing distance in a big ol circle

it takes most dogs ALOT of times to get them broke off deer.take him out road hunting and dump him on some deer and fry him.you let him get away with it to long and you will never break him.make sure you let him wear a dummy collar all the time before you shock him too much.you want him to think the deer is hurting him not the collar. good luck
