what type of trees do coons normally stay in?

up here in montana they like to stay in big old cotton woods near the river, pretty much any type of tree near a good water source will be a good home for coon.

here in south ga .... the big water oaks , uno the 1s that has a couple million leaves on them lol.... cedar will fall in 2cd

around here in ohio them things will crawl anywhere and everywhere if theres a hole close to water they will stay there if they find a dead tree they are there and most of the time i see coon real early in the morning when i go out to go deer huntin i have a big tree right next to my stand with a hole in it ive watched 3 of them crawl into there on more than one morning
