i got a male blue tick that hunts pretty good. i put a female in his pen for bout a week. she is not in heat or close to it. loaded dogs up this past weekend to hunt. turned my male bluetick out he would only go out a hundred yards then come back. normally he hits the country I've had him search almost a mile till he found a track. my male english. will hit the country and did. yall think the female had my blue messed up?

This would b my initial thought but I wouldn't think the breeding aspect had anything to do with it. I would b thinking health reasons. Was that female in good health? Maybe kennel cough or something else contagious? Just throwing ideas out there. If she wasn't near her heat cycle I would b questioning health issues. Need more info on the male. Age, how much u have hunted him, has he been around other females, has he been studded, etc. etc.

he is almost 4 no health issues out of either of them. he hunts hard normaly. not studded ever but tries to hump her every chance he gets
