when i think of dogs i think of athletes.. Barry Bonds hit alot of homers a few years back then retired (laid up). Barry Bonds can still hit homers even though he is older now. However, with that said, he's gonna have to get back in the batting cage and practice (hit the woods) a while to be back where he was. He, like your hound, is older now and may not have as much pop in his bat as he did a few years ago but there will still be some homers hit (coons treed) if he practices enough (gets a tune up). but please do not give your dog steroids hahaha. hope this helps make some sense of it all.
