my sons 7 month old walker is doing realy good by herself. for a pup. put an older dog out with her she shuts down want to hide under ur feet. till the older dog moves on. the she will start trailing her own. what is her deal. probly need to hunt her by herself?

is the older dog a strange dog to the pup or does the pup know the older dog ?? (raised near it or kenneled near it)
I have seen many pups act like they have never been to the woods when put with an older dog they do not know.
