Sounds like shes unsure of herself or got ate up at the tree at one point. Id hunt her with another dog for a while then see what happens.

-alone is the only way i would hunt her. if she knows what a coon smells like and wants them bad enough to try and track them she has no need for another dog. another dog only exposes a pup to the coon so the pup wants them bad enough to try and track and tree them.
another dog does not teach how to track or to tree, it teaches "WHAT" to track and tree.
depending on how much hunting she has had and what kind of training and handling she has had,at 3 yrs old she just may not have the bred in tools.
alot of times a 3 yr old dog that can't tree a coon alone is because they have always had that other dog to say here it is,kinda like you did with the two kitten coon you saw climb. people think when a young dog can't tree alone they need to be with another dog some more. just the opposite of what they really do need. the only way a dog can learn to do it alone is to be hunted alone and hunted the right way alone. AND BY THE RIGHT WAY I MEAN WHEN SHE DOES FINISH THE TRACKS TO THE TREE YOU NEED TO BE IN THERE AND KEEP HER INTEREST UP. YOU CAN'T SIT AT THE TRUCK LIKE SHE IS A BROKE COONDOG.
you got to be the other dog and help her keep her interest when she does tree it., once she is treeing then gradually take a lil longer to get there.

How long have you owned her and much have you hunted her???..Some dogs will have trouble treeing kitten coon..They just dont put out as much scent as adult coon..You also have the female close my and they usually try to take the dogs off the trail of the kittens if they can...But a lot of dogs hunted alot in the summer. Seam to be a lot better at treeing kittens. Than dogs that are only hunted in the winter months...

May be able to be fixed, but chances are she just doesn't quite have all the building block to make and all around solid dog.
