Hes just thinking hes going to get shocked again.Have you used a shocking collar on him before?????..A lot of dogs will act like that when getting shocked by a fence...Some it dont bother too much or at all. While others it really screws them up pretty good....One good way to get them going again is hunting with other dogs.If he wont hunt you keep him on a lead .Until he wants to go hunting with the other dogs.He should start pulling pretty good when hes ready to go.I wouldnt knock any coon out to him until hes running and treeing good ..Also a long lay off from hunting will help like 4-6 months in some cases..

i would'nt lay him up.
action makes a dog forget.
i would get him back out there and get him over it.
sitting idle makes a dog remember,
he sits there and thinks on it long enough it will sink in more..

If you have a pen that large take two or three T-posts and set up a two strand fence in there for him to be around. When a dog gets shocked off an electric fence sometimes it gets the low dose or else it gets the full charge. If you set up a short fence piece watch and see if he is spooked by it. Give him his food out by it and let him get used to being near it. Maybe this might help, who knows. If he ain't afraid of you then the fence monster grabbed him and he needs to get over it.
