 Post subject: What Should I Do?

i have a 22 month old bluetick male that will run a hot track real good but he wont tree it and also when i take him with his sister who is running and treeing her own coon he likes to play with her everytime she starts in the woods he likes to run around in front of her and jump on her he wont do that with my 2 year old because she will fight him i believe he has not matured any do any of you all have any information on what i should do

Some mature earlier, some later. In general, I think most hounds have all the puppy silly playfulness out of them by 2 1/2, but hounds that are treated as pets and spoiled and encouraged to play, take longer to lose it. Many that are hunted hard young and kept on the chain or kenneled when not hunting lose that silliness much earlier. I kinda like that playfulness and don't like to knock it out of them too soon. Just don't hunt the dog with other pups. It will outgrow that soon enough.
