My 16 month old Walker has mostly only hunted alone. In the past month or so she has treed her first coon. We are up to 5 so far. But now she is turning into a barking fool not moving much just back and forth on the track. The leaves are very thick on the trees and now if she trees I cant find the coon but I cant see the whole tree. I am afraid to not pet her up if she is right but I cant tell so I walk her off. Should I quit for a while?

you say shes going back and forth on a track? it sounds to me like shes back tracking. did she ever do this before? the reason i ask is sometimes when a dog gets older they will start tackleing a tougher track{colder track} and they want look real good running it alot of the time. a dog want ever learn to cold trail unless he practice it, i reckon their brain got to catch up with their nose. some dogs will always back track alot though no matter what and you want see many coons with this kind of dog. all this is my opinion and they are a dime a dozen lol
