i think that is something your dog will figure out him self but you maybe able to help by getting on the other side and just walk away from him hell figure it out.

if that dont work get him some leather cloves and wire cutters. good luck.

lead him to the fence get on the other side pull him over with the lead start on a fence that is bent over and away from the dog at the top. He will not want to do it easily the first few times but you will be amazed how fast he learns.

get some treats. i use hotdogs cut n chunks. find fence thats loose bend it over and push it down 2 bout knee high. get on side bent away from u, climb over and coax em over with treat and gentle tugs on leash. they might need to sample treat before

but that just gives em a reason to come over. the coaxin is done by holdn treat just outa reach. go back n forth 4 or 5 times a day for 2 or 3 days. then raise fench about a foot and repeat. treats also work great for teaching to jump n truck. good luck

i aint had any problems with fences,
but im sure its just like water with a young hound, i start my beagles out at around 3 months walking the woods even if they just follew it keeps them in shape, and with in a week i want them jumping water and using there brains(finding better ways around) but not taking to much time to do it...

i usually just walk and if they get hung up on something i call for them a few times then continue walking they will want to get to you one way or another and after about 3 weeks they will be showing you how to get around the woods....

i got a beagle pup now that is 3months and a week, and she is smart enough she wont touch water in a big 6-8 foot creek she will jump rock to rock, and is fast at deciding what ones to go to... but i look for hound parents that have alot of brains while hunting so they throw smart pups like this...

well we raise sheep and goats and have 48 inch woven wire fence with 2 strands of barb wire across top and my dogs learn quick to find a low spot and go under and not even attempt to go over. and I'd much rather have them run down a fence to find a low spot then try jumping it and get caught.
I have a old boxer dog (that got named Limpy)that I found and saved as I found her with her front foot caught in the top wires of a fence while checking traps.

The land I hunt has a bunch of fences and I've never had that problem. I wouldn't worry about it.
