I just got home. I treed once after treeing 3 times the night before seeing 3 coons, BUT. I posted a topic on here just recently about my english pup not going hunting. Well it changed tonight. I have been keeping him in the same kennel as my female and he went with her tonight. I made one mistake, after about 30 min i drove around the hill to where she treed and he came off the hill to meet us then went back up with us. Should I have scolded him for doing that or just take him to the tree and tie him off which is what I did. I am really excited.

nope,he was just excited to see you. he is young and its all new. and that is normal know nothing puppy stuff.
one step at a time.
at this point he would not understand a scolding for coming off. he has to learn why he is at the tree first.
right now he dont know why he is there or why the other dog is barking up the tree.
now that he will go with her,he will be able to learn whats goin on.
once he wants the coon bad enough and learns the coon is up there, you probly wont have to make him stay...................TC
