well i think im gonna buy one and just make the square.. ill use the 1/2 in wood and paint it real good on the outside and the edges of the plywood.. then put cocking along the 2x2s before i screw the plywood to it.. think that would work ok?
IT TOOK ME A COUPLE WEEKENDS,BUT IF YOU WANTED JUST A SQUARE BOX YOU COULD DO IT IN A DAY.AS FAR AS LEAKING OR ROTTING,IT DEPENDS ON HOW WELL YOU SEAL IT UP AND WHAT YOU BUILD IT OUT OF.
so would you recomending me getting one or not

Mine is three seasons old and still in grat shape. I painted mine with heavy duty deck paint with three coats and put caulking under the angle stock to keep water out of the edges.
I am starting one now. I learned the past is to chalk in inside of the box also. I used 4 ply 1/2 inch plywood. If u get this DIY god box make sure u chalk under the trim pieces and the door. Will have my box soon. If anybody has any questions just let me know.
Can you use aluminum on this instead of plywood? I know aluminum is more expensive but I have a guy that can hook me up. Its the some stuff thats covers gas stations. Think this will work?
