Can anyone tell me what's different between Full Cry and American Cooner or Bloodlines. I was thinking about subscribing to Full Cry but if it's not any different I don't really want to waste my money. Your opinions please. Thanks, Ryan

full cry has alot more stories and covers more squirrel hunting as opposed to bloodlines and american cooner that cover the hound breeds.

if your into curs then full cry is the way to go period.

if your into hounds and interested in the ukc nite hunts then bloodlines,

if your into the pkc hunts then prohound is the way to go.

cooner is more like full cry but more geared more toward hounds rather than curs.

Got a subscription to Full Cry. Talk about dissapointment. black and white pics, of dogs on the bench and squirels and some pretty lame articles. i mean seriouly who wants to read about a squirel hunt. does it realy take a good dog to tree a dang squirel. ive only got 2 issues, are they all like this. if so worst $29.50 i ever spent.

it does take a good dog to tree a squirrell. they got to be good to be able to trail them because of how they jump around and timber...But full cry is not a good magazine used to get it and dropped the subscription...

How many squirrels does your dog tree? LOL

That's like saying does it take a good dog to sniff out underwater cadavers. LOL

How hard is it to tree a coon? Even I can smell a coon from atleast 6 feet after shooting them out. There is a big difference in a yard dog sight treeing a squirrel and a consistent squirrel dog. Full Cry is definately geared toward squirrel hunting.

i like the cooner the best myself.........i dont care for bloodlines , too many stud and kennel adds........if you only like hounds and coon hunting then full cry may not be for you, but if you truly enjoy reading about working dogs then its a good mag.......pkc is good to keep up with the state standings and what super stakes pups are on the way

to knock a dog for do what it is breed to do is silly.....if treeing a squirrel is so easy then why are the curs not a dime a dozen

I enjoy Full Cry, but I have hunted cur dogs for many years. Also used to hunt T. Walkers.

If you have/hunt Curs and Feist on squirrels and coons, or do a little hog and bear hunting & other big game, you will like full cry.

Lots of articles about other type dogs, such as blood tracking dogs, and dogs that are used in groundhog or fox in dens.

If I could only subscribe to one of the mags out there, it would be American Cooner........I let my Full Cry expire a few years back as well as Prohound.

Right now I get - Coonhound Bloodlines, American Cooner, The Rabbit Hunter, and Gun Hound Magazine. If it wasn't for some of the basset hunting articles, I probably wouldn't even subscribe to The Rabbit Hunter.

i think full cry is trying to save money, thats why the pages are fewer.i like it because its got cur dogs in them and the rest of the mag.has mostly hounds. i hope they start haveing more to read in them though.
