Post subject:  sexton brothers dog food

I have fed pride for some time now and I like it. Recently my supplier quit selling it because of a price increase. He started selling Sexton Brothers. So I bought a few bags until I could pick some Pride up. I bought the Pro Endurance 24/18. My dogs seem to like it very well. It took them a few days to adjust but but it seems like I now have less to clean up then when I was feeding pride! They also seem to like it better, it doesn't set in the pan all day. They eat it immediatley. After doing some research I am thinking about sticking with Sexton Brothers. Here is the differences in ingredients. Notice Sexton Brothers does not use Brewers rice and Beat pulps.

I used Sexton Brothers for years and it was a good feed that kept the dogs in good shape. About a year ago, my good friend and vet said that there were better feeds to put out. We talked for about half an hour and he broke down everything in ingredients for me, and after that, I have found that JOY dogfood is the best brand for me and my dogs. Through the winter I feed JOY SPECIAL MEAL. In the summer I feed JOY STANDARD MEAL for the low fat content... The Sexton Brothers ran about $17 for 50lbs and the JOY runs $21 for 50lbs... not a huge differnce. I would suggest asking you vet's opinion, mine was able to explain everything in great detail and helped me find the right brand.

Sexton Bros is a good affordable feed. During the off season I d feed the blue 21/10 blend and stay away from the green. Its only an extra dollar and worth it. When running use their meat based 24/18 blend white bag. Most bang for the buck on any feed i ve fed.
