i attached a 5100 wheat head to a 6 volt nite lite battery(with strobe flicker rheostat cover) to make my own "hot lite". it works fine on the low side but doesn't light up the top filament of the BM30 bulb. anyone have any advice or have ever tried this before?

you sure the high side is not burned out...i know stupid ? but you never know. if thats not it take the head apart and check your wires and the little chrome things the bulb makes contact with and the 2 lead looking peaces on the bottom of the bulb. i have had 1 of the chrome contacts get bent down and not make contact with one side of the bulb b4 and i do not know how it happened...hope this helps

thank you, i will check that. i thoroughly inspected all 3 of the brand new bulbs i tried, so it is probably the contacts that you are talking about.
