Well i used 1 inch angle iron and my cousin did the welding and i did the plywood sides and the carpet built a box type to pull out and now the top will be bolted on and it is angle also. And it is 5 inches deep and the part the dogs rig off of is a lid to the top compartment.Total cost was abput 250.00 dollars and that stuff came from home depot except the metal. When it is all the way done i will post a pict and see what everyone thinks.I will tell you the bottom is 40 inches wide by 4 foot long and it is 23 inches high. Then add the 5 inch compartment and the 8 inch cooler rack and tie up. |

Be carefull when building or buying a new dog box and make sure it has enough ventilation. I built a box out of plywood and started drilling holes in it with a 1" bit and didn't stop until it looked like swiss cheese. I would hate to loose a good dog due to my own negligence. |
