Tonight I hit a button and my garmin changed to a collar that was not on and at home. Please don't laugh but I know nothing about them. I hit menu,dogs list, move up, enter, and nothing happened. If my hearing wasn't gonig south I would not even have one. Please help

This is what I think is wrong. Go to menu screen, go down to "set up" and hit enter. Then go down to "dogs" and hit enter. This should give you 3 menu options, go to the one that says "zoom to dogs" and make sure that is off. After that is turned off hit your "dog" button twice to show your list of dogs. Scroll down to the dog u want and hit enter. This next screen will have an option that says "show info". Should be the first option, hit enter when highlighted. This will show info about the GPS connection of the collar and the connection of the collar to the handheld. Make sure both are good. If both are good, push the down arrow once and then the right arrow once. It should highlight the "map" option at the bottom of the screen. Hit enter if it's highlighted. This should take you to wwhere u and that dog are. If that works u shouldn't have to do all that again. You will just need to go to your map and it will show where ever the hand held is. Hope this helps
