Had my Garmin for 2 years and worked perfect until last trip. It is doing two things wrong: 1. Reading the correct distance on dog but says it is the exact direct opposite that the dog really is? 2. The small triangle that tells you what direction you are walking does not change. I have never recalibrated or upgraded software or re installed collar. Wanted to ask b4 I started playing with it. Thanks in advance for your help!

Mine has done the same thing. Simply recalibrate the compass. There's probably a bunch of updates available for handheld and collar. Very easy to update. I also notice if I have my phone in my pocket close to my handheld it gives goofy readings. I called Garmin 2 weeks ago they also said 2 way radios are known to ruin the handhelds something with radio frequencies

Thanks. I recalibrated and it was easy. When I get home from work, I am going to put the collar on girlfriend and tell her which way to run!
