Post subject:  Insulated Dog boxes?

I'm trying to come up with better ideas for my dogs and thought about making insulated dox boxs. I was just wandering if anyone made theese for their dogs and if it would get to hot for them in the summer time? In my area it gets down to close 0 at times in the winter and up to 100 in the summer. just trying to get ideas

A buddy of mine makes his with a hollow space between 2 sheets if plywood. He screws the roof on and off. He has 2" thick foam cut to fit and put it in during winter and out for summer. He makes them with a flat slope roof and paints them with exterior paint on sides and roof.

I'm in Ohio and my dog houses are t111 outside and 1/2 ply wood on inside. I use 2 x 2 for frame. My roof is flat and just lifts off. I fill my boxes with straw dogs stay really warm all winter and keeps the boxes cool in the summer.
