I just bought a 4 volt wheat light at a local auction. The man who owned it passed away. Some poeple there told me you had to fill it with water every so often. Just wardening do you ever have to add acid or just water? Any other advice about this light would be helpful also.

if your talking about to the battery use distilled water, tap water can corrode the lead in the battery cuz of all the chemicals. Once the waters in the battery itll turn to acid

You add water through the little holes in the clear windows on the side. Wheat kohler makes a battery watering bottlle with a little tube for a spout. You can use a syeringe too, just add DISTILLED water up to the line in the window that says liquid level and charge.
If there is any liquid still left, charge it first then add water couse the electrolight expands when charged.
