its not connecting to a satellite. remove the metal plate that holds the unit to the collar and check the gps wire/plug.
watch the following video and you will see the plug i am talking about.

Post subject:  DC 30 Problem

I have a DC 30 collar that turns on, but has 1 long red flash and 1 short red flash, and will not hook up with my Astro 220. Has anyone had this problem, or have a solution? Garmin says to update the collar, but it will not update if it is not hooked up in the 220.
