Lost my garmin last night hunting. Luckly after work went and looked for and found it! Does anyone know if you can call garmin to see if they can somehow track where it is if you did lose it?

I put reflective tape on mine in case I drop it out of my pocket, it will make it easier to see. I have dropped mine before and just got lucky and found it. The reflective tape works really well. I just make sure i have it in a pocket that is either deep or tight so i can feel it on me at all times.

I have a 1 foot thin rope securing my garmin to my belt. I can use it like normal but if it drops out of my pocket then it just dangles. I clip my shocker to my belt too. Too expensive to lose.

I agree, that's what i dont like about the sportdog shocker transmitter, it has nowhere to put a lanyard or anything on it, i just stick it in my back pocket and hope i don't fall on it lol.

Which SportDog shocker do you have that you can not attach a lanyard? I have own several different SportDogs transmitters and was able to attach a lanyard to everyone of them.

It's the new one, the pro hunter 2525. I should've been more specific, I meant the one I have. My other sportdog came with the lanyard but I just got this new system about a month ago and the transmitter doesn't have anywhere to hook one.

Yea, the 2525 is very long to begin with. You want to get a holster for that style transmitter. That model transmitter style is different from all the rest - forgot about that one..

I have the 3225 which also has the 2 mile range and expandable to 6 dogs - the transmitter is very small.

The 3225 with the antenna is 7" long, the 2525 is probably pushing twice that length............that is why no lanyard as it is to long to be hanging with the lanyard.

Yeah that's why i just put it in my back pocket, luckily i've got my dog to the point where i dont really need it. I just keep it on him for those times when he gets a little hard-headed and needs reinforcement. Is the 3225 a little simpler?? There are so many settings on the 2525 it gets kinda confusing. I almost have to carry the book with me to remember which buttons do what on which setting.

Yes the 3225 is simple. Heck, the buttons are even color coded.

Here is some info:
