I have seen on other sites where people are using the longer flexible antenna and the quick track yagi antenna on the astro 220, just wondering if anyone has tried this and if it gave the system more range on the collars.

I just bought the new antennas for the dc 30 and a roof mount antenna for the 220. I have went as far as 2.5 miles and never lost them not sure really how far they can go. They way i think is if i have one that goes over that to get treed around my country i won't own it. Way to many coons to be treed to range that far. 2 antennas for collar and roof mount antenna cost me 55$ so if i can get better range than that then good but 55$ for an extra 1.5 miles of range is worth it to me JMO

Bought one of the Yagi ant. for the astro 220. Works well. Where I live there is alot of mountains. I added the longer ant. to my collars, I was losing signal at 600 yards now I can track out to a mile in most places with the small ant on the astro.

With the Pickup top antenna we got 18 miles line of sight with the garmin, but yet again it could have just been the perfect conditions, if i tried again today it might not go 12 miles
