had the same thing going on at one time and it was the light. the light was made with a bad set of batteries. how old or new is the light.

I don't know about the age of the light but I just had new batteries installed this week and the guy said that he checked out the light and it was functioning properly.

I DONT KNOW NOTHING BUT...MY DAD SELLS LIGHTS AND HAS HAD 3 BAD SMART CHARGERS IN THE LAST 2 MONTHS. SEEMS LIKE SOME JUST ARENT MADE RIGHT. I WOULD REPLACE THE CHARGER.
