when the dog icon reads a ? does this mean you have lost signal or does it not know what the dog is doing? Whether it be running, sitting, or treeing.

what is the best way to extend the range of the garmin? is their a booster for them?

You can get a long range antenna. It will give the Astro 220 more range. I have one and it works great.
