Im not to up to date on all this tracking stuff and would like to purchase a tracking system for 2 dogs? Can someone explain to me how they work and what not. I have always been old school and never seen them used by my dad and his buddies. But i know its time as i would hate to lose my current dogs as i have in the past!

As far as used systems.... would this be good? Are there anythings i need to be aware of when trying to find a good setup? I dont mind spending the money as long as it doesnt crap out on me somehow and not find my dogs. Thanks for any help fella's!

I would go with the Quick Track. I have both the Tracker and a Quick track and I like the Quick Track better thats why i'm gonna sale the Tracker Classic.

Thanks for the feedback man. What are the reasons you like it better? Easier to pinpoint the dogs? more user friendly? etc?

Thanks again.

The Tracker Classics are limited...........The Tracker Maximas have more to offer.........like the SMA on top to hook up to a Yagi antenna, more collars on the system, and etc....

Give me call at 615-216-5650 or email me at webmaster@coondawgs.com as I may be able to help you out on a system.

sounds good man. Thanks for the feedback. The reason i really want one is because i have a VERY good hunting bluetick female but she just isnt THAT loud. But my running walker that she hunts with has the LOUDEST mouth i have ever heard from a walker. Sounds like an ELK bawlin. But its not all the time i hunt her with the walker so it makes me nervous if she gets too far out there.

After more reading it seems that "garmin" is pretty recommended. Seems they dont work like the others do with the antenna and such. Will someone suggest a good set that is made by garmin and how does it work. Thanks alot fella's.

There is only one Garmin Unit (Astro) - the DC30 collars is the 2nd generation collars for the unit.

Use the SEARCH feature and search only this section of the forum for Garmin as there is many many many threads already to add to on the Garmins.

I used the old beep beep style systems for years. Nothing beats the Garmin. Nothing. You can point and guess and wonder, or you can have a Garmin and just look and see.
