Boy you sound like a 10 year old trying to pick a fight. You are probobly one of those guys that paid top dollar for a hound cuz you aint got a clue how to train a dog. Your dogs were probobly trained in a corn field and you just dont know it. Why dont you buy a plane ticket and come to michigan. I wouldnt let you hunt with me but there are alot of fellas who have dogs too that would not only make your dog look retarted but also make you look more retarted than you sound

If I "knock out" 2 in one night I chalk it up as a good night ill only hunt 3-4 hrs a night except maybe on the weekends l have off i might hunt longer. The most I've knocked out is only 4 in one night.. We seen more because 2 was doubles and the four we knocked out weighed bout 53-54 lbs combined. We took some teenagers that night it was a real good time they had a blast

I hunt in north central iowa. Right in the heart of a corn belt but I will tell you this even up here in the corn fields not every dog can tree a coon. The dog still has to know ehat he is doing. I hunt quite a bit with my threr blueticks who are amazingly great hounds for me but the most I've gotten in one night was 14 and that was starting at like 8pm opening night and running til 1am. And we do not shine one bit. We turn the dogs loose and find a tree and plant our butts and just listen to the dogs work. There's nothin better than listening to the dogs doin their jobs runnin through the woods

Some folks dream of a cruise. LOL Mine is to cut loose in big corn fields. I hunt marsh and that is a lot like drilled Millet or beans I guess.
The most I got was that a pup treed in different trees was 9 on an island that had a cattle fedlot on it about 30 years ago. I got 14 off one drop about 5 years ago, all different trees, let one dog get about 5 > then I had seen other eyes way back so I let another pup out and figured it would be smelling those coons I toted back, But no, he treed a couple . Then I turned out another young dog that treed a few more . By the time my buddy got there I already had 12 . LOL we went with another young dog through all that smell dragging and he treed a couple more we brought out together from separate trees. The only one I shot out that a dog did not tree I shot so it landed on the dogbox. and that made 15 by 10:30 so we quit. Never got a trail or a race. But I was engaged to kill coons off that Plantation. That was not around a feedlot nor buckets , Just happened to be where coons were up in oaks on the edge of the marsh and I don't know if the tide was in coming or out going. the coons families were already broke up>

the most coons ive ever treed in the mountains in one night was 7,ill never forget that night,it was in the fall and pretty warm for that time of year and had been raining.i took the same cur dog up north and he treed 17 in one night and didnt break a sweat.the most ive ever killed is one,we dont have enough coons to kill many.3 years ago i killed 10 coons during coon season and after that i bet it was several weeks before i saw another one.

Here in NC honey holes are very very hard to find. If there is one, There's everyone and their brother that hunts it too. We are lucky to see 3-4 coons a night. Luckys. And we will still shoot at least one or 2 of them to the dogs. I think the more meat in their mouth the better they do next time. And i Especially shoot them out to young dogs/pups

I voted that I average 1-5. I am supposed to kill everyone I tree or don't come back. Sometimes I get zero and about as often I get 10. actually my average is 4. I won't do another turnout after 10:30. I average 75 to 125 coons a year during season where I hunt and can't hunt all season due to gators. I am not required to shoot every coon I see off somewhere , just the ones I tree. If there are 5 up there all are coming out. But starting in November I rarely tree more than one up a tree. The MOST I got was 15 about five years ago. The leaves had not fallen yet from a 20 acre patch of big oaks near a marsh. One young dog got 6 by the time I decided to try a pup. I figured the pup would screw up due to all the coons I had dragged back to the truck but he got some more. Then about 9;30 my buddy showed up with his young dog he was hunting for me and we got some more. I never moved the truck. The last one I got was from an oak hanging across the truck from the other side of the trail and it landed on to of the dogbox. I never turned an old dog loose. It was easy. they were layups. I yet can't figure why so many coons were in that little patch. Two of these coons I shot that I happened to see on the way back to the truck. There was only one coon apiece in the rest of the trees. We quit at 10 due to some women coming to meet us.

Back about 1976 we did not have corn fields did have a little maze and soybean. hides were high then we had a border collie cur dog that if we left about dark driving around hitting ponds and creeks we could kill from nine to twelve coon nearly every night and be back buy 10:00 news. But that's with a cur not a hound. Our Black and Tans on average three to seven on a average night. it was the only way us Boys had to make money in the winter. The most coon I ever seen in one tree was nine in the rut we only shot two out Dad said it wasent right to take anymore.

Here in SW Va, the most I've treed has been 5. We only take 1 a night if any. Sometimes seems to make the dogs hunt harder not shooting out every coon. Not alot of coon in this country. Just enough to make a good race.

I hunt in an area that is over populated. No one hunts them, they rob the corn set out for deer and turkey. Its in a creek swamp, they have got to the point of rediculousness.

My spots are ridiculous too... ridiculously sorry...if I get just one I gotta take pics of it in the woods and on the tailgate under a street light just so my buddies will believe me.
