This is my first hound. Red Yes I know what everyone will say about his name, but my daughter picked it. I got him as a pup and have been working him. I have a friend of the family that has been training and running dogs his whole life giving me advice and help. So far he is doing great and that's pretty much the length of my story. It has been a lot of fun though and I have been out hunting with and without him. Love this sport

I just picked up my first coonhound about a week ago. She is 8 weeks old and as sweet as can be. After a week about being confused on what to name her, we finally came up with Timber. She is obedient right off the bat, almost fully potty trained and LOVES her crate. I am very impressed with her. I was on here not to long ago, and saw a forum talking about superstitions, so far, shes got a knot on the top of her head, black roof of her mouth so according to all peoples superstitions shes suppose to be a great treeing dog LOL
